Manga World

I love Manga. Manga is comic in Japanese, of course what I read are already translated into either Malay or English languages. I started my Manga collection when I was 7 years old. The first Manga I bought at that time was Doraemon by Fujio F. Fujiko, and the second one was Sailormoon by Naoko Takeuchi. I still remember how I wished Doraemon would pop up from my desk drawer and I could transform into a magical soldier. My sister, Ka Yus, and brother, Abg. Mawi, even called me Sailor But because of my obsession upon Sailormoon ( I was really chubby back then and 'but' represents 'labut' or chubby). I still remember the third Manga collection was GS Mikami and the fourth one was Doctor Black Jack. Since then I could not stop buying Manga. Another info is that Manga is often make into anime or cartoon, and a live-action series or movie.

This is what I found about Manga on the Internet (click here for full article):

Definition:
Manga are Japanese comic books. Manga is often made into Japanese cartoons, or Anime. The art in Manga has a very definite look to it and is often referred to as “Manga Style.”

Pronountiation: (Maw – Nnnnn – Gah) In Japanese, it is actually three syllables, although the middle "N" is spoken very quick. Americans have a habit of pronouncing it "Man-Gah", but that is not actually correct.

Categories of Manga:
  1. Shou-nen: Boys' Manga (Action, adventure and humourous).
  2. Shou-jo: Girls' Manga (Lighthearted, fantasy and involves romance).
  3. Sei-nen: Men's Manga (Graphic violence and explicit content).
  4. Jo-sei: Women's Manga.
  5. Ko-Do-Mo: Children's Manga.
  6. Ecchi: Putting sexual attraction but not explicitly.
  7. Hentai: Explicitly sexual or pornographic content.
  8. Gender Bender: Girls dressing up as guys, guys dressing up as girls.. Guys turning into girls, girls turning into guys..
  9. Mecha: Science fiction involves fighting machines and vehicles
  10. Yaoi: Gays' Manga
  11. Yuri: Lesbians' Manga
  12. Shou-nen Ai: Less explicit than Yaoi
  13. Shou-Jo Ai: Less extreme than Yuri
I hooked up with mystery or investigation genre of Manga ever since in my secondary years, starting from Young Detective of Kindaichi, and Detective Conan.
I spent most of my savings on the three basics: food, clothes and Manga. But now, I can relax a bit since we can download Manga from the magical world of Internet. I have listed my favourite sites to download Manga on the left handside of my blog. Now, I have downloaded 77 Manga comprised of 3, 092 folders, 62, 752 files and 24.9 gigabytes in my lappie! (I, literally, checked it) hehe, and the number keep on increasing as I'm typing this post. My recommendations:
  1. Young Detective Kindaichi or Kindaichi Shonen No Jikenbo
  2. Detective Conan or Case Closed
  3. Dan Detective School Q or Tantei Gakuen
  4. GS Mikami
  5. Cat's Eye
  6. Fushigi Yuugi
  7. Fruits Basket
  8. Sailormoon
  9. Akazukin Chacha
  10. ....emmm...
I have difficulty in deciding what Manga should I put in the recommendations, honestly, I only love the first top five of the Manga above because I have read them from cover to cover before I got the home internet. After I got e-speed, I love downloading Manga for my Sayang. Walaupun our Manga genre nda sama (Sayang suka yang gangsterism, mafia, humorous, sports and all the boys' stuff, I prefer romance and investigation) but I enjoy the process of downloading Manga, I mean, I get excited seeing the increasing downloading percentage. FYI, now I only love collecting downloaded-Manga in my lappie since I don't have time to read them :p. Cheer off :) !

Love: Amai ~ Thinking Of My Sayang :)
